Park (OKNP) is Sierra Leone’s first National Park. Most famous for its hippos – with near-guaranteed sightings in the Kabba (Little Scarcies) River every day at dawn and dusk on canoe trips from the main campsite – OKNP bursts with the sights and sounds of wildlife and nature.

Reflections of monkeys swinging between overhanging trees, the sight of birds
perched on rocky outcrops mid-river and the rhythmic chirpings of nature accompany any paddle downstream. Indeed, nine primate species and around 150 species of birds grace the surrounding forest, including the rare Pallid Harrier migrant.
